The 18-hole Hyderabad Golf Association course, with the backdrop of the historic Golconda Fort, will come alive thanks to the first-ever premier golf tournament, Golconda Masters championship, to be hosted there from February 24 to March 1.
The Golconda Masters will feature 120 top professional golfers from India and the neighbouring countries besides some amateurs from the home country.
The top 50 finishers will continue to play for another 36 holes over the last two days and it will be played in the stroke-play format. Effectively, the player who finishes the 72 holes with the least number of strokes will be the champion.
