Lamakaan is celebrating Telugu Language Day by commemmorating Gidudu Rama Murthy's 150th birth anniversary. Lamkaan will reminisce about the great linguist, one who told the world that speaking in dialects is not a shame, and that there is no one standard way of pronouncing a language, by launching a couple of books written in Telugu dialects - Tondanaadu Kathalu and Irudoddula Kathalu.
The writers and editors of the books - Nandhyala Narayana Reddy, Votra Purushottam - and Saamala Ramesh Babu of Nadusthunna Charithra, Anil Atluri of kinige.com and other invitees will be in presence.
Also the importance of diversity in languages in various geographical regions of the world will be discussed.
