Looking for entertainment for your kids that is healthier than all the movies in town put together? Give this one a try. Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad is presenting a German-Indian puppet show titled "Sanjay & His Master", on 9th & 10th Feb, 7pm, at the NIFT Auditorium.
Directed by Dadi Pudumjee, the show is aimed at children and families, and is suitable for all kids aged 6 years and above.
Young Sanjay wants to become a musician, and asks the old master and court-musician Anand to teach him. After several years of practice, Sanjay wants to join his master as the second musician at the royal court.
The king rejects the musicians' proposal ? he only wants one musician, and the very best. To aid his decision on which of the two he wants to employ, the king orders Sanjay and the old master to compete with each another.
There is no way out for the 2 musicians, as the king threatens to kill whoever doesn't take part. The machinations of a demon make the situation even more desperate. But then, there is a surprising solution to Sanjay's problems.
