The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad organizes a French film soiree to raise funds for Nepal.

In the wake of the catastrophic earthquakes in Nepal, thousands of traumatized people are in desperate need of help. The top priority is finding temporary shelter for hundreds of thousands of people before monsoon rains hit the region.
The Alliance Francaise network in India decided to contribute towards relief efforts in Kathmandu. 300 tents were already bought from French sport superstore Decathlon and sent to Nepal. Decathlon did their bit by supplying the tents at cost price, without making any profit.
Alliance Francaise Hyderabad is collecting money to pay some tents by organizing a fund raising cinema event. Come and watch 2 of the best recent French films for the price of a regular cinema seat. Any donations besides the donor?s pass of Rs 200 are more than welcome! All the proceeds will go to Kathmandu via the Alliance Francaise centre there.
Alliance Francaise Kathmandu is fine, and actively involved in the reconstruction process. They are working with selected NGOs and have opened a bank account for donations.
