A cool star-studded winter night sounds even more romantic if coupled with a flute recital. Head to the one being organized by Kalasagaram this Sunday. Maitreyi Jayaseelan is playing the flute at 6pm at Keyes High School, on 15th November.
Maitreyi Jayaseelan is a Carnatic flute professional, and is the disciple of AP's popular flautist, Jayapradha Ramamurthy (Director, Uttara Centre Of Performing Arts). She received her vocal music training from her mother and from her Guru, Prema Ramamurthy.
Maitreyi was awarded the HRD Scholarship For Young Artists, and has passed with distinction in the Madhyama Exam in Carnatic Flute from Akhila Bharati Gandharva Vidyalaya. She has performed at several solo and group concerts, including at one at Sadhana Mahotsav by South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur.
