The Great Hyderabad Bicycling Club is organising a ride around the Hussain Sagar Lake this Wednesday. Attending members will meet up at the starting point at Prasad's IMAX, and there will be 3 rides - one starting at 5:30am, the next at 6am, and the third at 6:30am.
The route for the ride is Prasads - Necklace Road - Karbala Maidan - Tank Bund - Secretariat - NTR Gardens - Prasads, and there will be 2 loops. The total distance for one loop is 9.5 kms.
Along with a bicycle in good running condition and with perfect brakes, attendees will also require to carry a helmet, drinking water (not less than 2 litres), some snacks, and a spare tube/puncture kit. If you wish to join enroute, you can do so by intimating the members before the ride.
The Great Hyderabad Bicycling Club was formed by a group of cycling enthusiasts in August 2007, with an intention to meet people, network and have fun. The club organises rides each Wednesday and Saturday morning, and plana occasional multi-day trips throughout the year to different parts of India. Some members are training to participate in special tours and race events.
