The State Gallery Of Fine Arts is presenting an exhibition of paintings in Kalamkari by a person who's accumulated more awards than any other artist worth his salt. Shiva Prasad Reddy is a painter par excellence, and his works show just that.
One of the most popular Kalamkari artists the world over, Reddy works towards saving and nurturing the dying art. He's been conferred with the AP State Award for contribution in field of art, and was felicitated by the Tamilnadu Government as well. He was adjudged the Best Artist in South Asia, and he's also won the UNESCO Award for art.
