Join us at Lamakaan for a day-long commemoration of the eminent Urdu poet, critic, editor, and novelist Shamsur Rahman Faruqi. Organized by Lamakaan Trust Hyderabad in association with Shabkhoon, Allahabad, the event features Professor Ahmed Mahfooz discussing Faruqi's theoretical criticism. Mahmood Farooqui will explore Faruqi's critique through his English papers on 18th-century Urdu love poetry. Baran Faruqi will read from Faruqi's novel "Kai Chand The Sar e Aasman" and his story collection "Sawar".
