Deeksha - A Telugu Color Film: Events in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Film Club is presenting the screening of Telugu movie Deeksha, at its Sarathi Studios.

Deeksha is the story of Suri, a poor boy who wants to learn karate from a teacher employed by a private school for rich patrons only. Paralleling Eklavya's story, who had learnt archery by worshipping the idol of Dronacharya, Suri also practices katrate on his own.

He is helped in his endeavours by Naresh, a student of the karate teacher. Together, Suri and Naresh are able to prevent a burgalary, and as a reward, Suri is allowed to participate in the real karate classes.

Deeksha is directed by Siva Jonnalagadda, who has directed several popular TV serials. Siva has worked as an assistant director with noted filmmakers, and has also assisted famous choreographers.
