Dance Show By Raghavendra Dance Academy

Can you utter Kuchipudi and Bunty Aur Bubbly in the same breath? You can, at least, today evening. The cultural show thrown together by Raghavendra Dance Academy will see classical dances, folk dance and filmi jhatka matkas on the same platform. This is the 304th show organized by the academy.

School kids and college youngsters fill up the list of participants. Classical dance forms such as Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Andhra Natyam will take the stage. The audience will be treated to folk dances like the lively lambari of Andhra and bhangra of Punjab. The filmworld not to be left behind, dances on popular Telugu and Hindi movie songs are also part of this versatile dance program. So music from Bunty Aur Bubbly and Happy shares stage space with the taal of kathak.

The dance academy has also organized a fashion show. Only this time, anorexic bundles of bones are not walking the ramp board. Chubby and chirpy young children are the models for this ramp show.

Education minister N Rajyalakshmi is the chief guest for the evening. Anjan Kumar Yadav and Narayan Narasimha Reddy are other prominent guests for the program.
