Asmita Resource Centre for Women will organise a dance festival on September 2 and 3, as part of its campaign on violence against women.
The ballets will be about mythological women such as Menaka and Ahalya.
"Menaka" will be performed on September 2, and "Ahalya" on September 3, both at 6:30 pm, in Ravindra Bharathi.
Both ballets are in English. Conceived and directed by Vasanth Kannabiran and produced by Asmita Collective, the ballets will have lyrics by Kannabiran, music by flautist B V Balasai, choreography by Rajeshwari Sainath, and mentoring by mridangam maestro Karaikkudi Mani.
