Damdakam is a style of poetry found in Telugu and Sanskrit languages. There are a number of damdakams in Telugu, each written in praise of a specific Hindu God, which are traditionally heard and taught in Telugu households. There are also other verses and hyms called stutis and stotras, which are also part of a Telugu household's repertoire. Reciting these damdakams, stutis and stotras is great way to promote oral language development among children, and also to pass on our cultural heritage to the next generation.
"Damdakam Chadvudaam" is an initiative through which we will teach children Sree raama damdakam, sooryanaraayana damdakam, aamjaneya damdakam, hanumaan chaalisa (M S Rama Rao), soorya stuti and other such hymns and verses written in Telugu.
