The 16th edition of European Union film festival is being held from 23rd March to 3rd April at the Prasad Labs Preview Theatre. The festival, which has the slogan "Laugh Like a European", will screen 19 films mainly focusing on the theme of comedy.
As part of the festival, Copacabana will be screened on the third day at 8pm. The film is directed by Marc Fitoussi and stars Isabelle Huppert, Lolita Chammah, Aure Atika, Noemie Lvovsky, Chantal Banlier, Jurgen Delnaet and Magali Woch
Happy in her carefree little bubble, Babou has never bothered about climbing the social ladder. But when her daughter is too ashamed to invite her to her wedding, she is compelled to re-evaluate her lifestyle. In fact, so wounded is she that she resolves to sell her timeshare apartments in Ostend. To win back her daughter's esteem, Babou decides to give her the wedding present she truly deserves.
