Constellation '09 - Science Day: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR CONSTELLATION '09 - SCIENCE...

Have fun while learning, at the Science Day function by St. Francis College For Women (Begumpet) on 29th August. The event will be from 9am to 5pm.

St. Francis is hosting a Science Day Festival, which includes several fun events as well as science-based competitions. Students (both boys and girls) from degree colleges, engineering colleges and medical colleges, and even those pursing their Ph.D, are invited to participate in the events.

The festival comprises of the following:

Debate On Humane Cloning: Boon Or Bane?

A Powerpoint Presentation On Panspermia - Panorama Of Life

Demo Experiment - Life Sciences

Demo Experiment - Physical Sciences

Creativity At Its Climax - Best Out Of Waste (Scientific Experiments Demonstration Recycling Of Waste)

Scientific Paper Writing

Poster Presentation On VLSI or Nuclear Advancement

Collage - Natural Disasters

Spin A Yarn (Make a slide show, or write a story)

Many of these events, including IT buzz, debates, presentations, and demo experiments, require 2 members per team from each college, with prior registration mandatory.

The fun events include Science Tambola, Scramble, Treasure Hunt, Crossword Puzzle, Fun With Science and Journey Through The Milky Way Galaxy - all solo events. You can register for them on the spot.

Winners of the events will receive cash prizes, and there's a special prize for the Scientist Of The Day too.

There will also be a rock band performance, too, paying a tribute to Michael Jackson. The concert is from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Foodies can hog at the ice-cream counters, chocolate fountain and biryani counters.

The entry fee is Rs. 20, and registration fee for solo or group entries is Rs. 20.
