Concerts By Marthand Ensemble & Florian Schiertz From Germany

Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad and Hyderabad Western Music Forum, in collaboration with La Makaan and Alliance Francaise Hyderabad, is presenting a music event titled Celebration Of Rhythms & Strings on 26th March, at La Makaan.



The event is divided into 2 parts - the first part will have the Marthand Ensemble with Ritu & Tyagaraj on the 1st violin, Paul & Sushil on the 2nd violin, Sanjay on the viola, and John Marthand on the cello/piano. The group will play the compositions Summer-Quartet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sonata in D Major by Ludwig Van Beethoven, duet violin & viola by W A Mozart.



The second part will feature Florian Schiertz on the tabla, Pandurang Mutalik on the sitar, Mohammed Aslam Khan (Disciple of Ustaad Sabri Khan, Delhi) and Shankar on the sarangi, presenting Indian classical music.



Entry is by donor passes of Rs. 100 for members of the Hyderabad Western Music Forum and Rs. 200 for non-members. The proceeds from this concert go to a charitable-project at Vivekananda School.
