US artist Rebecca Lloyd is exhibiting her set of recent works "Colors Of India", from 15th December to 11th January, at Beyond Coffee. Most of these paintings have been influenced during her stay in Hyderabad. She was part of a charity ball held at Westin Hotel to raise funds, during the first week of December.
The subject matter of Rebecca's paintings and styles are varied because she paints based on her mood. Her traditional boats in a harbor float serenely; a geisha girl wears a hat coyly; and her urban nightscape has a hint of abstract. Her media are acrylic, watercolor and mixed.
A self-taught, part-time and a born artist, Rebecca grew up in Oregon, and moved to Alaska, Tacoma, then Texas. Her husband's job brought them to Spokane. They have settled comfortably in a small Craftsman home on the South Hill. Currently, she is studying nursing at the Community Colleges of Spokane, and works as a barrista.
