The Department of Communication at Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication, UoH, is organising a talk on "Cinema, Colonialism And Identity In South Asia", by Vilasnee Tampoe-Hautin, at the Humanities Auditorium. Dr. Vilasinee Tampoe-Hautin is senior lecturer at Universit? de La R?union (France), and is also a noted film scholar who has worked extensively on the history of cinema in Sri Lanka. She authored a biography of her father, Sri Lankan film maker Robin Tampoe, and more recently, a history of Sri Lankan cinema, entitled "Cinema, Ethnicity And Politics In Sri Lanka".
