The Hyderabad Film Club is screening the film Chinese Chocolate, on December 26 at the Sri Sarathi Studios Preview Theatre at Ameerpet.
The film depicts the stories of 2 very different Chinese women, a dancer and a doctor, who travel to Canada to follow their dreams and seek new lives. Jesse, a naive young woman, comes to Toronto to attend college, while Camille flies to Canada to visit her recently emigrated husband.
Tragic events and hardships soon peep into the lives of the 2 strangers. They travel a rocky path in search of love, getting themselves involved in a series of relationships with men. The women struggle with their complicated new lives till fate throws them together, out of which evolves a romantic relationship.
Directed by Yan Cui and Qui Chang, the film features Yan Cui, Shirley Cui and Diana Peng Tan. Chinese Chocolate, which has won the CICAE Award, has a runtime of 99 minutes.
