Fab India offers you a chance to try your hand at the Ambar Charkha this week, in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti. It is a more contemporary and efficient variant of the Kisan Charkha that Gandhi endorsed. Haleema Begum of the Bhagyanagar Khadi Samiti will show you the ropes, and soon enough you can enjoy the energetic whirring of the wheel, while spools of yarn spin out effortlessly.

Special postcards with quotes by Gandhi about his philosophy and the role of Khadi, are also available in packs of five.
