Roopa Mahadevan is a versatile vocalist rooted in the South Indian (Carnatic) classical tradition. Roopa is the artistic director of the NYC-based Navatman Music Collective, an Indian Classical Vocal ensemble. She has also performed at the well-known Cleveland ThyagarajaAradhana, which awarded her the title 'Kala Ratna' for her commitment to the pursuit of Carnatic music as a young American.
