Goethe Zentrum is conducting creative workshops for kids, from 17th August to 21 August. The workshop will start at 9am, and is being organized at different schools.
The workshops is a dual programme, open to children in the mornings, and to everyone in the afternoons. Different forms of 'breaking boundaries' will be explored. In the mornings, experts will conduct creative workshops in the fields of visual arts, dance and writing, with the children of various schools in the Twin Cities.
In the afternoon, there will be a film appreciation series by film-expert Sridala Swami. The series will feature documentaries - including Buena Vista Social Club by Wim Wenders, Crossing The Bridge by Fatih Akin, Jahaji Music by Surabhi Sharma, and A Kabir Film by Shabnam Virmani.
Sridala Swami studied film editing at Asia's premier Film school, The Film & Television Institute Of India. She won the Kamlakar Award for the Best Editor, and has edited documentaries, commercials and serials. Sridala also taught at the Delhi School of Communication and at the Lady Shriram College for Women in Delhi. Her first book of poetry, A Reluctant Survivor was short-listed for the Shakti Bhatt First Book Award.
