The Birdwatchers' Society Of AP is conducting a bird walk on Sunday, the 28th June, at 5:45 am, at Mrugavani (Chilkur Deer) National Park. They plan to go via Mehdipatnam-Langar Hauz on the Vikarabad road, to reach the park on right hand side. Chilkur, located 25 kms away from the city, is home to woodland birds, including the lesser Green-billed Malkoha. You could also keep a lookout for the harbingers of the monsoon - the Pied Crested Cuckoo.
This will be a half-day trip. Do carry plenty of snacks and water, in case you'd like to join the field outing.
