Bhavanotsav 2010 - Inter-College Cultural Festival: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR BHAVANOTSAV 2010 - INTER-COLLEGE...

Bhavan's Vivekananda College of Sciences, Humanities And Commerce is organising it's annual inter-collegiate cultural and literary festival, "Bhavanotsav 2010", on 16th December at the college campus in Sainikpuri. There will be several competitions during the day for which prizes and awards will be given away in the valedictory function in the evening.

The event starts with poster presentations from 10:30 am to 11:30am. For the commerce department, it is titled "Rang De" and the theme will be given on the spot. It is called "Asymptote" for the Physical Sciences department and the themes are:

Mathematics - Applications of differential equations / 3-D geometry / group theory

Statistics - Graphs & charts on any statistical data

Physics - Nuclear physics beyond electron, proton, neutron / nano materials

Electronics - Robotics / Digital Communications

For the Life Sciences department, the poster presentation is called "greEnergy" and the theme is Waste Management. They also have a wall illustration on the theme of "Earth As You Perceive In 2010". In additon to these, there are several competitions during the day, such as:

11:30 am to 12:30 pm - Ad Venture, a game of advertising

12:30 pm to 01:30 pm - Think O Brain, a memory game

01:30 pm to 02:30 pm - Dum Maaro Dum, a price quest, also called Tol Mol Ke Bol

Physical Sciences Department

11:30 am to 12:30 pm - Play with electronics

10:30 am to 12:00 pm - Online quiz

10:30 am to 12:00 pm - Computer games

Kalasangam - Performing Arts

10:30 am to 11:30 am - Elocution

10:30 am to 11:30 am - Face painting

10:30 am to 02:00 pm - Graffiti

12:00 pm to 02:00 pm - Treasure hunt

02:30 pm to 04:30 pm - Group dance
