Bharatanatyam By Priya Raman

Shilparamam is organising the annual All India Crafts Mela from 15th to 31st December, and as part of the daily cultural programs, Bharatanatyam dancer Priya Raman will be performing on 18th December at 7:30 pm.



A disciple of Guru Geeta Chandran in Delhi, Priya has staged many performances at programs organized by the government, by several cultural organizations and the media.



Priya Raman was initiated into the art of dance at the age of 7 years, and has since then trained under the tutelage of Shubha Dhananjay in Bangalore. A National Award winner, a central government scholarship holder, and a graded Doordarshan artiste, she has represented India in the USA as part of a Group Study Exchange Program organized by the Rotary Foundation.



She also has a proficiency degree in Bharatanatyam under the aegis of the Karnataka State Secondary Education Board.
