Anything to do with the BCCI doesn't sound good, but anything to do with Tata, ONGC, BSNL, AISEB, MRF and other heavy-weights doesn't sound too bad.
The 2nd edition of the Corporate Trophy offered by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be played across 4 venues - Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Bangalore - from 1st to 8th September. The trophy has been named after Raj Singh Dungarpur, the former BCCI president who passed away last year.
The tournament has been expanded to 16 teams, 4 more than last year, and they have been split into 4 groups. Teams from each group will be based in a particular city before the top 4 head to Visakhapatnam for the 2 semi-finals on 5th and 6th September and the finals on 8th September.
The team details are as follows:
Group A - All India Electricity Board, State Bank of Hyderabad, India Cements (Venue: Visakhapatnam)
Group B - Tata Sports Club, BPCL, Indian Oil Corporation (Venue: Chennai)
Group C - Air India, BSNL, Chemplast, State Bank of Mysore (Venue: Hyderabad)
Group D - ONGC, Income Tax, State Bank of Patiala, MRF (Venue: Bangalore)
In Hyderabad, the matches will be held at Gymkhana Grounds and Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, as per the schedule given below:
1st September

9:00am - Chemplast Vs State Bank of Mysore, at Gymkhana Grounds
2nd September
