An exhibition set to make droolers out of the entire city, the Auto Show could just be your ticket to fantasy land this weekend. Especially if you've ever driven in Hyderabadi traffic.
Auto Show South 2010, the premier regional automotive event, organized by the Confederation Of Indian Industry (CII) in conjunction with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), is being held from 13th to 16th May at the Hitex Exhibition grounds. The event is also being supported by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), and the Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association Of India (FADA).
The show is intended to focus on the south Indian market. The exhibition comprises the latest in cars, bikes and SUVs; besides car accessories, video systems and GPS navigation schemes. Participating companies include the global giants, including General Motors, Skoda Auto, Honda, Fiat, Mercedes, Toyota, Tata Motors and M&M.
Premier vehicles, some of which are the Hybrid Prius, New Prado Diesel, Land Cruiser and Fortuner, will be on display. The truck master M&M is displaying a 4 x 4 truck, while JK Tyres is organizing a go-karting event. A safety ride show will be organized by Honda Motorcycles and finally, for lovers of heritage cars, there will be a vintage car display.
The first day of the event is exclusively for the media, the second day for the manufacturers and dealers, and the last 2 days will be open for the general public. Entry tickets are priced at Rs. 50 per head. Please contact the venue at 2311-2121 for further details.
