In the mood for some glamourous charity? Shop for some obscenely lavish stuff here without going anywhere near sinful territory: proceeds go to save underprivileged women and kids.
Araaish, a lifestyle exhibition in aid of the Save The Children India Foundation, is being held on 25th October, at the Taj Krishna. The event is presented by Samira Habitats, hosted by siblings Mana Shetty, Rahul Kadri and Isha Mehra, as a tribute to their mother the late Vipula Kadri, and is being organised by Sharmilla Khanna.
An annual event which is held in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai every year, this is the second time it is being held in Hyderabad, and the 13th overall exhibition for Araaish. Some of the names that stepped up this time to support Araaish are Surily Goel, Seema Khan, Amishi London, Arca Home, Arnaz and Gopi for Gopi Vaid, Bea Accessories by Twisha and Alisha Chinai, Cappuccino by Nipa Badiani, Neeta Lulla, Covet by Priyanka Udani and Shaheen Davar, Designs by Tanya Deol, Ensemble, Flambe, J's Studio by Jarna Doshi, Kokomo, Kunal Rawal, Laila Motwane, Mana and Isha, Moksh, Myoho by Kiran and Meghna, Namrata C, Neomy Khatau for KAN, Pria Kataaria Puri, Seema Khan, Sharad and Anshu Jain, Sheetal Sharma, Sillver Strreak by Tina Sajdeh, Silver Art Jewellery by Rohita, Stoffa by Priyanka, Malini and Harsh, Tikaaya by Madhu Shah and Neeru Roowala, Time-n-Again, Trupsel, ZOYA.
Save The Children India also has a stall with decorative products such as gift bags, batuas, festive stationery and wine bottle holders made by adolescent girls.
Araaish is the fund-raising arm of Save The Children India, which is a tribute to late Vipula Kadri. Vipula established Save The Children India in 1988 to support and empower underprivileged women and children, and Araaish is an extrapolation of her vision by promoting the concept 'Glamour And Giving Go Together'. Currently, it is managed by Mana Shetty, wife of Suneil Shetty, and her siblings Rahul Kadri and Isha Mehra.
