GVR International Cultural Foundation, in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, is organising a function for the release of a book by Dondapati Devadas (from Machilipatnam), titled Anuraagala Marmaalu, on 18th November, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally. On this occasion, a cine musical night will be presented from 6:00pm to 6:40pm.
The Chief Guest for the evening is Dr. P Madhusudan Rao, Program Officer of Doordarshan Saptagiri, and the Guest of Honour will be Aadi Vishnu, comedy and cine writer. The function will be presided over by Dr. Dwana Sastry, a renowned writer, and the book will be released by P Vijayababu, Chief Editor of Andhra Prabha. Sailaja Mitra, a poet, will read a couple of lines from the book.
Anuraagala Marmaalu is a 270-page book containing 33 stories about social values and human relations. Peddipati Subbaramaiah had written a book with the same theme 3 decades ago, based on values that were prevailing in those days. In Anuraagala Marmaalu, Dondapati Devadas tries to compare the values of the days of yore, with the ones of today.
