What can we say about Dr. Shobha Raju that won't sound as praiseful as one of her Annamayya Kirtanas. Well, you probably heard all, but here is a fresh look at some of this accomplished Carnatic singer's attainments.
She was taught, beginning with Smt. Rajyalakshmi, her own mother, by a string of teachers including Mr. Pullaiah, Mr. D. Seshagiri Rao, Mr. Pakala Munirathnam, Mr Tiruttani Krishnamurthy, Prof. Kalpakam and Dr. Nedunuri Krishnamurthy.
