Aradhana is conducting the 14th Aakasavani-TV Awards function on 6th March, 6:15pm onwards.

This year, the award for the best news reader in Aakasavani is being given to Dr. J Chennaiah. The other awards are as follows:

Best TV Serial (DD) - Pragathi

Best TV Serial (ETV) - Chandramukhi

Best TV Serial (Gemini TV) - Neelo Sagam

Best TV Serial (Maa TV) - Narada Leelalu

Best TV Serial (Zee Telugu) - My Name Is Mangathayaru

Best TV Serial (Vanitha TV) - Ankuram

Best Actor - M Muralimohan (Ankuram - Vanitha TV)

Best Director - B Ashok Rao (Bommarillu - Gemini TV

Best Actress - Mounika (Janaki Weds Sriram - Zee Telugu)

Best Lyricist - Chaitanya Prasad (Chinnari, Chandramukhi, Manasu Chooda Tarama)

Best Character Artiste (Male) - Bharani (Chi. La. Sow. Sravanthi - Gemini TV)

Best Character Artiste (Female) - Surekhavani (Pragathi - DD)

Best Anchor - Vidya Rao (Dance Baby Dance - Gemini TV)

Best Programme - 30 Minutes (TV9)

The awards will be given away by the chief guest, M Jagannath (AP Government's Special Representative In New Delhi). Other guests include P Vijayababu, Editor, Andhra Prabha; M Panduranga Rao, DGM, BHEL; and V Muralikrishna Reddy from PNM Connections. The function will be inaugurated by R Syamsundar (MD, Ramga Organics Pvt. Ltd.), and the lighting of the lamp will be done by Anuradha Viswanath from Aradhana.

The function also includes cultural programs - a Kuchipudi performance by Chandika Mohana Lakshmi (disciple of A Srinivas & Srinivas Reddy), and a mythological drama, Mayasabha-Duryodhana, by the Movie Arts Association.
