REVIEW FOR WINTER DREAMS - IRANIAN FILM BY SIAMAK SHAYEGHI
The Hyderabad Film Club is screening an Iranian movie titled Winter Dreams at Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet, on 20th May. The film is directed and produced by Siamak Shayeghi, and has Fatemeh Motamed Aria, Ladan Mostofi, Pegah Ahangarani and Sharokh Forutunian playing the lead roles.
Crippled Farida (Fatemeh Motamed Aria), a former math teacher, has raised younger siblings Farzhaneh (Ladan Mostofi) and Fereshteh (Pegah Ahangarani) since the death of their parents. The practical-minded Farzhaneh now supports the family by working as a factory business manager. She's being courted by the factory owner, although she prefers the bumbling engineer. Meanwhile, the dramatically inclined Fereshteh abandons her economics classes for a slot at the local theater school.
