Sony Pictures, in association with Semiotyx, is doing a promotion called Get Lucky At 10 Downing Street, to promote the film The Covenant, on 7th, 8th, 9th, 13th and 14th December. The film is being released in Hyderabad on 15th December.
Get Lucky At 10 Downing Street is a 5-day long promotional activity that will span offline, online and mobile exercises. The basic idea is that those who visit 10 Downing Street on the above-mentioned dates can get lucky by winning entry to a special exclusive preview of the film from Sony Pictures on the 14th of December at Prasad Preview Theatre.
The online and mobile exercises will include e-mail and SMS campaigns, whereas offline activities will include thematic posters, and standees being put up at the venue to create curiosity and buzz about the promotional activity.
Directed by Ronnie Harlin, The Covenant is shot amidst the beauty if Spencer Academy, a New England boarding school for the region’s reigning elite. It tells the story of the sons of Ipswich, four young students bound by their sacred ancestry.
As the descendants of the original families that settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600s, the boys have all been born with special powers. When a 5th descendant suddenly moves to town, secrets begin to unravel, which threaten to break the covenant of silence that has protected their families for hundreds of years.
