An exhibition showcasing wedding wear by designers Puja Arya and Nida Mahmood at Anonym, a fashion store, begins on 7th Nov, from 11am. The exhibition will showcase saris, half-saris, lehengas, jewellery, bags, and pashmina items.
The saris are in chiffons, georgettes and crepe silks and have a vintage look, with a focus on traditional hand block printing and decorated with gota-patti, brocades and sequins. Also available are heavily embroidered and textured half-saris and lehangas. Saris are accompanied with jersey-choli blouses and with three-quarter sleeves. Price of the sari range starts from Rs. 10,000.
The jewellery range is by Neelum Narang, with antique designs making use of colorful semi precious stones, pure silver and gold plating, including big earrings specially crafted for the wedding season. Bags by designer Kris include hand-crafted bags in pure leather in different colors. The Pashmina range is all about shawls, stoles & T-shirts in pure pashmina, silks & cashmere retailed by the brand 'Pashma'.
Anonym retails work by designers from Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore. Since the peak bridal season is in, the store has incorporated the Indian line, too. Designers who work on the wedding line participate in Bridal Asia, a fashion event showcasing innovative collections of wedding costumes, which takes place once a year.
