The Times Of India is organising an 9-day Hyderabad festival
from 28th January to 5th February at different venues across the city. On 1st February, renowned Bollywood actors Shabana Azmi and Farooq Shaikh will perform in a Hindi play called Tumhari Amrita at the Shilpakala Vedika.
Inspired by A R Guerney's Love Letters, Tumhari Amrita is a funny, poignant and melancholic chronicle of two people who would not come together and could not stay apart. A love story told through the exchange of love letters spanning 35 years between two people from very different backgrounds. It is a tale of the universal tragedy of lovers torn apart by destiny.
Tumhari Amrita is a new form of theatrical presentation that challenges all traditional norms of drama, and in the process, creates a fresh, new way of looking at a play.
Entry to all the events is by free invitations, available at The Times Of India office on road no. 2, Banjara Hills, and at Music World outlets. Please contact 6527-7755 for invitations and further details.
