The Lord may have taken his own sweet time deliberating upon Thyagaraja's compositions,
but the rest of the audiences were faster. Here's your chance not to be like the
Thyagaraja, a great saint and an ardent devotee of Rama, composed numerous kritis
and dedicated them to the Lord. Each of his kritis, embellished with meaningful
works and melodious swaras, has captivated scores of people.
Every year, homage is paid to the saint through the annual Thyagaraja aradhana held at his birthplace Thiruvaiyuru in Tamil Nadu and at other parts of the country, in January and February.
This year, the 155th Aaradhana festival of Sadguru Sri Thyagaraja Swami is being celebrated at the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha for a 9-day period. The program schedule on the fourth day is as follows:
