This time Fellini is using Picasso to do a captivating trick for his audience. Find out how, tonite.
This film begins as a classic comedy of errors, following the lives of three small time con men, who pose as Roman priests and swindle people. Augusto, the soft one of the lot, accidentally encounters his daughter Iris.
He finds that his daughter is leading a life of broken dreams, and is on the verge of loosing her sanity. Augusto, who is devoted to his daughter, finds that all he can give her is an empty promise of support. He once again returns to the familiarity of his disreputable trade, for one last swindle.
IL Bidone (The Swindle) is a profoundly moving testament of the innate goodness of the human soul trapped in a misguided existence.
