The Surgeon-Poet Reads?
Hailed as the Malcolm X of International Poetry and referred to as a Warrior of the Spirit and a Warrior of the Mind, Dr. Neal Hall is an award winning, internationally acclaimed poet.
A Medical-Surgical Eye Physician and a Graduate of Cornell and Harvard Universities, his poetry speaks not just to the surface pain of injustice and inhumanity, but deep into that pain.
Recognized as the Poet who first and firmly said that "I am convinced that for Black Americans, the look of freedom has been more detrimental than no freedom at all" neal Hall will be reading his poems at the Gallery Caf? from 11:30am on Sunday the 28th till 1:00pm.
There will be live interaction with the poet during lunch that follows.
This is brought to you as part of the series of creative performances by local and international artists who have found the Gallery Cafe to be a wonderfully intimate space.
