Romance has a thousand hues for people who have the courage to dabble in it. Meet Boris and Marilyne tonite.
The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, in association with the Hyderabad Film Club and the French Embassy in India, is screening a French film, The Real Man, at the Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet, on 26th June. The film has been directed by Jean-Marie Larrieu & Arnaud Larrieu, and has Hélène Fillières and Mathieu Amalric playing the lead characters.
One night at a party in Paris, Boris, a young filmmaker, and Marilyne, a young executive, play at being lovers when they've barely met. They then fall in love for real. Five years later, Marilyne, accompanied by Boris and their children, goes to Baléares on a professional trip. Just when Boris, fed up with being a house-husband, is about to leave her, Marilyne falls in love with someone else and disappears.
Five years later, Marilyne reappears deep in the heart of the Pyrénées, overseeing a group of Americans attending a "Resourcing" workshop. She realizes that the man who's just revealed the mysteries of black grouse mating to her is none other than Boris. Just as they did a few years before, playing at people who knew each other when they didn't, they now play at being strangers when in fact they know each other very well.
The entry to the screening is free. Please contact the Alliance Francaise at 2770-0734/2770-0736 or Bh S S Prakash Reddy of the Hyderabad Film Club at 2373-0841/93910-20243 for further details.
