The Department of Culture is organizing the official AP Ugadi celebrations at Ravindra Bharathi in a traditional way. Here is the schedule:
Welcome Dance, Vedic Blessings
Release of agriculture and temple's panchang, Felicitation to veda pundits and poets, Hamsa and Ugadi prize distribution
The Chief Guest will be the CM, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, and he will be accompanied by the Speaker and some ministers.
For the year 2005-06, i. e. "Sri Pardhiva Nama Ugadi", the Government of Andhra Pradesh is felicitating the following personalities for their valuable contribution to the society, and art and culture, with the the Ugadi Puraskarams:
