Some birds eat monkeys. Didn't know that, did you? Get here to get more intrigued. Or more grossed out.
The Birdwatchers' Society of Andhra Pradesh (BSAP), in collaboration with Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, presents on a monthly basis The Life Of Birds, a BBC series of 10 documentary screenings exploring the life of birds.
This month, the 22nd of July, the topic is Meat Eaters, and this will be screened from 6pm, at the Goethe-Zentrum office premises, Hillfort Road, Opp. AP Legislative Assembly.
Colourful, mysterious, noble and intriguing, birds have fascinated us since the dawn of history. David Attenborough, one of the world's foremost naturalists, hosts an exploration into the secret lives of these magnificent creatures.
4th in the series The Life Of Birds, Meat Eaters examines those birds whose sustenance comes from flesh, and their methods of hunting. From the meat-eating Kea parrot of New Zealand, to African eagles that prey on monkeys and flamingos, see the strategies that some birds use to find and catch their prey, including tracking by ultraviolet vision.
Entry is free for everyone. Please contact Goethe-Zentrum at 6552-6443 for further details.
