In a party on the occasion of Haudek's completion of his new county house, he
shows his friends his new acquisition - a beautiful sporting gun. That very evening,
Andrea, his daughter, comes with her boyfriend to tell she is leaving home to
stay with her boyfriend. In anger, Haudek grabs the gun and shoots the boy.
The crime is hidden for quite a time when Luca, an energetic young reporter, finds something fishy about the whole business. She tries various plots to get the facts of the case and talks to the persons involved in the whole affair.
One day, Haudek sends several copies of a letter that he wrote confessing his crime, and talks about killing himself. By the time Luca tells Andrea, it is too late.
