4 guy friends bond even more when they have problems with women. If this sounds like a movie starring Aamir, Saif and Akshaye, it's viva le France tonite!
The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, in association with the Hyderabad Film Club and the French Embassy in India, is screening a French film, The French Men, on 27th February, at Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet. A preview of the storyline is as under:
Four friends, Alex, Antoine, Jeff and Manu, are modern, stable and immature, and at a turning point in their lives. They've been friends for 25 years, ever since they played for the same football team in the Paris suburbs. They see each other regularly. They like talking, arguing and laughing together. From humble origins, they have achieved success in their respective fields.
Alex and Jeff have founded a small stable of popular sports magazines. Antoine is a gym teacher in a top-ranking Parisian high school and Manu runs one of the most frequented delicatessens in town. This particular spring, various events normal in any life – the death of a father, a wife’s infidelity, a daughter’s wedding – bring them even closer together.
Confronted with situations they can’t control, they confide in and help each other, talking things through and reflecting on their lives. Their relationships with women are central to all their problems, conversations and arguments. They thought that their equilibrium was based upon their successes and the joys of fatherhood. However, they discover that feelings of love are even more indispensable to the accomplishment of their true lives.
The film is directed by Marc Esposito, and has Gérard Darmon, Jean-Pierre, Darroussin and Bernard Campan in the lead characters. The screenings are open for everyone.
