That could mean anything, right? Well, we don't know about the fabled part, but
the peacock could have something to do either with the clothes on display or with
their habitants. Yes, this is a fashion show, and the exhibition is of the collection
of Krishna Mehta.
Trust a woman to know how to make a man look good. Krishna Mehta is one of the most reputed names in men's fashion today. Her menswear like kurtas, sherwanis and jodhpurs are known to be perfectly cut and immaculately finished with subtle embellishments. And she has forayed into women's wear recently, too, with K2, a range of ready-to-wear garments for women.
The lady will be a part of 'The Fabled Peacock', a show to be held on the 11th. It will highlight the artistry of Indian craftsmen and the rich textile heritage of India. This program is being organized in the aid of the rehabilitation of the craftsmen of Kutch and Bhuj.
The show, choreographed by Sangita Chopra, will feature models like Madhu Sapre, Sheetal Mallar, Bipasha Basu, Aditi Govitrikar and Vidisha Pavate.
Krishna Mehta's collection will include combinations of bright hues, traditional hand embroidery, handloom and woven fabrics and antique gold threadwork, and is likely to remind you of the richness and glory of the good old days.
