St. Andrew's High School at Bowenpally is organising the 3rd Rev Father Devasia Inter-School Chess Tournament, from 22nd to 25th November. 156 players from a total of 30 school teams from 18 city schools are participating in this tournament, in the boys and girls categories. The tournament will be conducted in the Swiss format, and the winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,500 each along with the trophy, while the runners-up will carry home Rs. 1,500 each, in each category.
The participating teams are: Meridian High School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Jubilee Hills), St. Ann's Girls High School, St. Peter's HS (Nacharam), Narayana Concept School, DAV Public School (Kukatpally), St. Patrick's HS, St. John's Church High School, Sister Nivedita HS, St. Martin's HS, CMR Model School, Sherwood Public School, Secunderabad Public School, Hindu PS, Sujata PS, St. Mark's Progressive HS and St. Ann's HS (Malkajgiri).
