Call it a cultural extravaganza, and it might just be close to what you'll behold at this dance festival, starting tonite at the Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.
Exotic dance forms like Mohini Attam, Odissi, Manipuri, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, Kuchipudi and folk dances of Lambada, Dimsa, Dandiya, and the works - these are taking center stage with danseuses coming from all over the state and outside.
Avant-garde artistes of classical dance and folk dance forms are here to enthrall you with their prowess. Indrani, Padmashri, Ravali, Rasagna, Lekhya Bhavani, Madhu Chiranjeevi, and a 10-year-old prodigy Apoorva Jha from Banaras, will be performing tonite. Some of them are disciples of Nrutya Brahma V S Ramamurthy, and Manjula Ramaswamy.
Chief guest Justice V Iswaraiah, and M Venkateswari, Advocate, AP High Court, will preside over the program. Please contact Ch Venkata Ramana at 92465-20050 for further details.
