The government says that the day they start giving things tax-free, the citizens
will become irresponsible. Or, in other words, they will become happy. So the
only thing that the citizens are going to have tax-free is the government. In
a blatant attempt to have something tax-free, Chandrashekhar Phansalkar intended
on doing a play free for the junta. One look at the entertainment tax, and he
coolly changed the name of his play to 'Tax Free' and played it.
Expressions is playing the same old Tax Free with some brand new casting. Naveen,
Suyodhan, Jagdish and Pankaj play the key roles. The play deals with the lives
of four blind men: their joys, their hopes, their funs, their… you get the drift.
One of the most critically acclaimed and enjoyed plays, Tax Free, not surprisingly,
is not taxing on your brains at all.
P S: The story behind the name of this play has not been authenticated. It might
be, after I hard sell this idea to the officials.
