Dakshina Mandapa, the exclusive South-Indian vegetarian restaurant of Hotel Taj Tristar, is organising Dakshina Bhojanotsav, a South-Indian food festival, from 21st September to 2nd October.
Delicious South-Indian cuisine with Carnatic classical music in the background welcomes food-lovers all this fortnight, with dishes like Rasam, Mirapakai Bajji, Appam with Vegetable Stew, Idiappam, Mushroom Pepper Fry, Urlai Roast, Thotakoora, Dosakai Pulusu, Gutthi Vankaya, Dondakai Vepudu, Kadala Curry, Thengapal, Namakkal Vadai, Tajjiti Sasma, Bisibele Bhaat, Biryani and Pulao on the menu. For the sweet-toothed, there are Paal Payasum, Palada Pradhaman, Tirunelveli Halwa, Mysore Paak, Kakinada Kaja, Sunnundalu and ice creams.
