The human form is being showcased in its various manifestations, at the paintings exhibition Roop Bheda, to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Alankrita Art Gallery, from 29th August to 14th September. The paintings are on display from 11am to 7pm.
The exhibition is a collection of depictions of the human form captured by 7 artists - Anand Panchal, Asit Kumar Patnaik, Buwa Shete, JMS Mani, Laxman Aelay, Subramanyam G and Sudip Roy. Man and woman constitute the visual vocabulary of the works at the exhibition.
Asit Kumar Patnaik’s female form is serene, spiritual and quaint. Subra’s (G Subramanian) collages on deities are a blend of the traditional and the contemporary, with a bit of the folk idiom too. In Sudip Roy’s images, men and women are drawn in water colors, and are based on the environment he lives in.
