The Society to Save Rocks aims to preserve and protect the spectacular ancient granite formations of the Deccan Plateau. Your contribution to the cause can be just a walk away. Rock Walks are nature treks to different rocky areas in and around Hyderabad.
The society leads Hyderabad on its monthly Rock Walk to save rocks on the 20th, Sunday. This month’s walk is to Bhongir Rock and it starts from St Ann’s High School, S P Road, Secunderabad, at 10.30 am.
The return walk will be by around 6 pm. The organisers request everybody interested to bring drinking water along with their lunch, and also to wear walking shoes and long pants. Everybody is welcome and there is no entry fees. These Rock Walks take place on the 3rd Sunday of every month. They request you to enroll atleast 2 days in advance.
