Kriya Yoga Samsthan, on its 10th anniversary, is conducting summer camps for girls & boys aged between 7 and 16, from 21st April to 25th May, at Kundanbagh. The camp includes self-discipline, character-building, patriotism and seva along with sports, arts and cultural activities.
The aim of the residential summer camp is that the trainees evolve into knowledgable, intellectual and responsible future citizens of India. The camp is being organised under the guidance of yoga therapist and vedic philosopher Mandharapu Devendar, of Cheli fame (the Wednesday issue of Vaartha).
The spiritual activities in this camp are yoga vignanam, vedic sandhya, chanting slokas and mantras, vedic havan, fitness, and the importance of brahmacharya and hygiene. Sports, arts and other activities including vedic maths, drawing, painting, hand-writing, music, quiz, story-telling, dancing, skating, swimming, archery, cricket, tennis, chess, carroms, height-development, memory growth, overcoming fear and phobia, and gaining mental balance are other areas.
No trainee will be allowed to drop out of the camp. Delicious and nutritious food will be served to trainees, and outside food consumption will not be entertained. There is a residential doctor to take care of any ailments. The camp fee is Rs. 7,500.
Kriya Yoga Samsthan was established in 1999, and has since then conducted many awareness camps, fitness programs and seva programs for boys & girls from all districts of Andhra Pradesh, to unearth hidden talent at the grassroot level.
